  1. 2 shots Bourbon
  2. Half a shot Crème de cassis
  3. 3 shots Lemonade
  4. 1 shot Butterfly pea tea
  5. Fill to top with Sparkling water
  6. Few sprigs of Thyme

Add to your online shopping baskets at Ocado, Tesco, ASDA, Waitrose and Amazon Fresh. Handy.


Add all but the last ingredient to a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a large glass filled with ice and top with sparkling water (diluting as much as or as little as you like). Garnish with a slice of lemon and a few sprigs of thyme.

The story of Blackcurrant lemonade

Like a lot of my cocktails, this one came to me in a dream. I do my best work when I’m sleeping. Which isn’t that often since I have a baby. I had a dream the other night involving a beautiful, boozy, deep purple lemonade, so naturally I had to bring that vision to life. I love whiskey + lemonade anyway, but I have a feeling this variation with blackcurrant and thyme will be in my regular cocktail rotation this summer.

You could always switch up the bourbon for a different type of whisky - try an Irish whisky or a Scotch for slightly different flavours
