Take premium Scottish gin, add hand-picked Sri Lankan tea and place in a beautifully designed bottle, and you get The Teasmith's original gin.
Seeking inspiration from their surroundings in rural Aberdeenshire, Emma and Nick made a surprising discovery that linked their corner of Scotland with the beginnings of the 19th century tea trade in Sri Lanka. In 1867, a gentleman called James Taylor from Auchenblae planted the very first tea plantation there, beginning a process that would turn the island into one of the world’s finest tea-growing regions.
They resurrect that link in their most excellent Teasmith original gin.

The recipe calls for a careful blend of botanicals to let the tea flavour come through without being over-powering. Juniper, coriander, grains of paradise, orange peel and other botanicals are two-times distilled in traditional copper alembic stills.
Through this delicate process of distillation, each individual ingredient is carefully blended to ensure The Teasmith is a truly unique gin, characterised by its clarity, simplicity and confidence.
Premium Scottish gin, hand-picked tea harking back to Aberdeen's heritage in the tea trade and a beautifully designed bottle, The Teasmith has a recognisable and delightful taste profile.
Distilled in Strathearn, the flavour profile that results from this recipe is too good to miss!
