As with all the gins from the Brindle distillery, Cuckoo spiced gin is a true field-to-bottle gin made with water and grain from the family's farm. The spiced gin is unmistakably cuckoo gin in style but with additional warming aromatics like clove and pepper. Cuckoo is distilled in Lancashire at the Brindle distillery farm, using water and grain from the local area. Whilst this gin takes some flavours from further afield, all their botanicals are sustainably and ethically sourced.
It's the 2nd gin out of the Brindle distillery and while retaining the charm and flavour of the original Cuckoo gin, it has additional depths of clove, cinnamon, fennel and lemongrass as well as spicy Tellicherry black pepper. These additional warm spicy flavours are complimented perfectly by more fruity and floral hints of jasmine, fig, rosehips and tonka beans. As the team at Brindle say: 'stoke the first, put your feet up, get cosy and enjoy'
With ingredients from the farm, water from the spring, and all lovingly made on site, Brindle Distillery is the epitome of the farm-to-bottle craft spirit movement.
One day in 2016, The Singleton family decided to create their own distillery, using the farm that has been home to their family for decades. 15 months later the Brindle Distillery was born and they've been developing grain-to-glass spirits that involve the whole family ever since.
