Inspired by Scottish botanicals and the Scottish east coast
From 18th century smugglers and seamen to the symbolic wooden groynes protecting the sandy beach, Portobello is a Scottish seaside town with a depth of character and identity. The industry has thrived in Portobello since the 19th century, manufacturing bricks at Abercorn brickworks, pottery at the Portobello kilns as well as salt production at the Joppa salt pans.
The towns modern day representation is characterized by stylish bars and restaurants alongside friendly cafes and coffee shops. Original spirit of Portobello can still be appreciated by the existing cobbled roads and the famous esplanade stretching along its shore.
Porty gin was inspired and created in portobello through months of research and development, ensuring the perfect blend of botanicals to represent Edinburgh's seaside.
Our gin pays homage to the spirit's birthplace by utilizing homegrown botanicals which are abundant along Scotland's east coast. all seven botanicals selected for our original London dry are hand-harvested in Edinburgh and are blended to create a beautiful seaside gin.
Porty Gin doesn't have any products to sell yet, but are hard at work getting their first one ready!
